Multimedia Application

Sazeh Pardazi Iran consulting engineering is among the most reputed engineering consultants and project management companies in Iran and the Middle East. First, they came to me to ask for the building of multimedia software that they wanted to use in their meetings to present their services and projects to gain more projects in tenders. We had multiple sessions and discussed their services and how they want to present lots of data in a way that catches the eyes of their audiences.

There were tons of data in 6 major fields:

This project was a great practice to learn information structure. I started to design the software. I sketched several ideas. But, there was a unique idea that was super attractive! Imagine a page that consists of organized tiles with different colors for each section. It was just similar to the Windows 8 user interface! But consider that it was before releasing Windows 8! You can see the overview of it here:

By clicking on each tile, the information of the selected tile appears.

I should mention that presenting these loads of data, needs categorizing. I achieve this using colors and pictograms. Users could recognize where they are and what services they were studying just by viewing the color of the page and the pictogram of the service.

The multimedia was designed and developed in Adobe Flash using ActionScript 2.0. I’ve learned a lot in this project. My client was super excited about presenting the company in meetings using multimedia Software.

Website design

After having a successful great project together, they asked me to redesign their website. Having a lot of insight and experience about the strong point of the company, I started my job to redesign the whole website. Indeed, the audience of the website was massively different from multimedia. So, keeping this in my mind, I Benchmark great websites in this category and then start my designs.

One of my ideas was to use Google Maps and put the company’s projects that were more than 400 projects on the map. Also, it must be easy for the website admin to edit projects, add or delete them. So, I developed it in a way that they could edit an Excel file consisting of project titles, descriptions, category, latitude, and longitude of each project and upload file in the WordPress panel. I extracted the list of projects dynamically and put markers dynamically on the map. It was an exciting journey to build this part of the website. I designed and developed the WordPress theme.
